Job summary

Sloan India is seeking an engineering design professional to design components using Creo, document specifications, and manage ECNs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, support peers, and develop experiments to validate product requirements.

The role requires strong communication across levels, coordination with design sites, and exploration of new technologies for future products and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Design components and assemblies using Creo solid modeling software.
• Develop and document engineering specifications and material requirements; process ECNs.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues using best-practice methods across cross-functional teams (FEA, DFMEA, DOE, DFM/ DFA).
• Communicate and collaborate across all levels; coordinate with Sloan partners and design sites.
• Support engineering peers to create correct work content with minimal errors; assist on problem solving.

• Plan and execute component-level experimentation to verify and validate designs.
• Create and evaluate prototypes and detailed engineering reports.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Design components and assemblies with PTC CREO solid modeling software, creating necessary procedures and instructions, and all other documentation as required. Type of design work is simple to moderate complexity.

Develop and document engineering specifications and material requirements as required. Process ECNs. Follow established document control procedures.

Ability to analyze and resolve simple to moderate technical issues and problems using best practice tools and methods across cross functional teams. (i.e. FEA, DFMEA, DOE, DFM/DFA, fault tree analysis, etc.)

Communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization both orally and in written fashion. Coordinate engineering activity with Sloan partners and design sites. Participate in setting design standards across the organization

Provide support to engineering peers on work assignments and creating correct work content with minimal errors. Support other team members on process and problem solving. Communicate to manager when you have extra bandwidth.

Plan and specify effective component level experimentation to verify and validate engineering designs to product requirements. Create and evaluate prototypes. Capable of designing unique R&D tests, and creating detailed engineering reports.

Investigate new technologies to be applied to future products. Research, recommend, and implement cutting edge technologies and techniques related to product prototyping and manufacturing
