Job summary

Emerson Measurement Systems and Solutions CoE Pune Hub is seeking an experienced Sales Systems Engineer to engage with the sales team, understand pursuit opportunities, and align with Emerson's execution strategy from concept to commissioning.

You will develop proposals with solution architects and sales engineers, ensure compliance with trade and ethics, and contribute to multi-million projects across locations while maintaining standards such as RP555, NFPA496, ISO and US-EPA.

Qualifications

Degree in Instrumentation Engineering.
Up to 10 years of experience in managing concurrent mid complexity proposals.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to learn new things and understand different cultures.
MS Office applications (Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

Engage with Sales Team to align pursuit opportunities with Emerson strategy.
Collaborate with Solution Architects and Sales Engineers to tailor proposals.
Work with Operations (Project Management, Engineering, Procurement) to review proposal strategies.
Create competitive multi-location proposals while ensuring feasibility.
Ensure full compliance with legal and company requirements (trade, ethics, governance).
Develop P&ID and GA drawings and ensure standards compliance (RP555, NFPA496, ISO, US-EPA, ASME-PTC).
Evaluate customer requirements and vendor quotes to confirm compliance and enable informed decisions.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Engaging with Sales Team - Collaborate closely with theSales team. Understand specific pursuit opportunity insights, engage into customer interactions. Ensure alignment with Emerson strategic objectives (e.g. execution strategy).

Proficient in interpreting customer specifications

Understand Customer specifications and challenges. Tailor proposals accordingly. Engage Solution Architect and Sales engineer to align Emerson proposed solution. Participate inpre- and post-sales customer clarification meetings.

Alignment with Operations / Execution

Work closely withOperations (Project Management, Engineering, Procurement and review proposal strategies together (lessons learned)

Creating Competitive Proposals

Optimize solutions while maintaining competitiveness. Proposals would be multi-million, varying complexity and possibility of multi-location execution scope.

Compliance and Governance

Ensurefull compliancewith legal and company requirements. This includestrade compliance,ethics, and adherence to corporate governance rules.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Product Knowledge

Become well-versed inall company products, solutions and competition strategies. This knowledge enhances proposal effectiveness. Knowledge around following components is must.

Gas measurement technologies and products (Analysers / Chromatographs), Specific products and applications suitability

Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS) and Steam and Water Analysis / Quality Systems (SWAS)

Flame and Gas detection Systems

Gas composition and Selection of appropriate Analyzers

Development of P&ID and GA drawings

Good working knowledge of standards such as RP555, NFPA496, ISO, US-EPA, ASME-PTC and other industry standards related to solutions as required (regional).

Other essential supporting skills

Customer requirements and Vendor Quote Evaluation and confirm compliance to requirements and make informed decisions

Local Weights and Measures requirements for Customer / End Destination region and compliance the proposed solution

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Good analytical skills and action oriented.

Flexibility to learn new things and understand different cultures.
