Job summary

Siemens in Mumbai Kalwa (Navi Mumbai) invites a seasoned Proposal Manager with 13–15 years of experience in the electrical switchgear field. The role focuses on techno-commercial bid preparation, team leadership, and coordination with Sales, BD, and operations to secure orders.

The position requires strong planning and interpersonal skills and may involve marketing and tendering experience. Based out of Navi Mumbai, this opportunity offers exposure to a global, diverse environment within Siemens.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering (as stated).
• 13–15 years of working experience preferred.
• Knowledge in switchgear with commercial understanding.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQ/Enquiry documents and understand techno-commercial requirements.
• Lead Proposal team and focus on order acquisition.
• Manage workload of team while handling RFQs independently.
• Prepare budgets and bid documents, cost calculations, and schedules with sales.
• Coordinate with vendors for specifications and cost to ensure optimal techno-commercial offers.
• Provide technical clarifications to partners and customers.
• Attend technical discussions and respond to client/partners/sales/BD.
• Maintain project list and achieve order intake targets.
• Coordinate with operations for proposal optimization.
• Evaluate win/loss orders and suggest cost optimizations to PLM/Operations.
• Support self-development through training.

Proposal Manager expected perform following activity with growth and positive attitude.

• To review RFQ / Enquiry document and understand the requirement techno-commercially
• Managing Proposal team and focus on order Acquisition
• Focusing on workload management of team members while also simultaneously handling RFQs independently
• Preparing Budgetary and firm bids, offer text, cost calculations, time schedule along with other bid documents as per the need after evaluation of RFQ & Enquiry in association with Sales regions/ICB Partners/BD.
• To correspond with vendors/procurement for right specification and cost to ensure optimum Techno-commercial offer making.
• Technical Clarifications to Partners (Sales/ICB/BD)
• Attending technical discussions and providing technical clarifications to client/ Partners /Sales/ICB/BD.
• Maintaining Project list and achieving the Order intake targets assigned.
• Coordination with operations for Proposal Optimization
• Evaluate / analyze win/loss orders
• Contributing ideas for cost optimization to PLM /Operations
• To Be cautious about Non-Conformance Costs and Ensure profitability of order.
• Undertake encourage self-development, either through e-learning or external training.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering.

13 to 15 years of working experience is preferable.

Knowledge in Switchgear field with commercial knowledge.

Good planning & inter-personal & communication skills.

Previous experience in Marketing & Tendering proffered!
