Job summary

Aksons Instrumentation And Solutions in Pune, India, is seeking a Proposal Engineer to prepare accurate quotations, tenders, designs and technical documents to meet customer deadlines. You will interpret customer requirements and tailor solutions that balance technical specs with price and delivery.

You will manage key accounts, coordinate with vendors, and assist in post-order documentation while ensuring proactive communication about delivery changes and potential issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation or Mechanical engineering.
• At least two years' experience in a similar role.
• Familiar with field instruments like gauges, transmitters and valves.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quotations, tenders, and technical documents to meet customer deadlines.
• Manage and interpret customer requirements to understand and meet their needs.
• Offer products or services that best satisfy needs in terms of tech specs, price, and delivery.
• Key Account Management & Vendor Management.
• Experience with ABB, Wika, Trafag product configurators.
• Specialist in key accounts in Water & Wastewater Desalination, Power Generation and Oil & Gas.
• Conversant with selection of gauges, sensors, transmitters, valves per application.
• Expertise in selecting instruments for pressure, temperature, level, and flow.
• Well-versed in measurement and analytics: pressure, temperature, level, flow, calibration, valves, fittings.
• Offer after-sales service to develop long-term relationships with customers.
• Prepare post-order documents such as NMR, Submittal, VDRL, VDDR.
• Be proactive in progressing orders and notifying customers of delivery changes.

Responsibilities

• Calculate accurate and competitive sales quotations and prepare tenders, proposals, designs, and technical documents to meet customer deadlines.
• Manage and interpret both new and existing customer requirements to understand, anticipate and practically meet their needs.
• Offer customers a product or service that best satisfies their needs in terms of technical specification, quality, price and delivery for the range of products.
• Key Account Management & Vendor Management.
• Worked with ABB, Wika, Trafag Instrumentation Product Profile & Product configurators.
• Specialist in key account with Water & Wastewater Desalination, Power Generation and Oil & Gas Industry.
• Conversant with Selection of Gauges, Sensors, Transmitters, Valves as per the application.
• Expertise in selection of Instruments for parameters Pressure, Temperature, Level, Flow based on the application.
• Well versed with Measurement & Analytics parameters like Pressure, Temperature, Level, Flow, Calibration, Valves & Fittings.
• Offer after-sales service and support to develop and grow long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
• Preparing post order documents such as NMR, Submittal, VDRL, VDDR, etc.
• Be pro-active in progressing customer orders to completion and respond to customer progress enquiries within expected timescales.
• Be proactive in notifying customers when there is a change in delivery date, or if there is any potential problem with a sales order.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Mechanical, or similar.
• At least two years' experience in a similar role.
• Familiar with engineering field instruments like Gauges, Transmitter and Valves.
