Role Description

The Proposal Engineer role at Keepsake Automation is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. The Proposal Engineer will be responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals for automation projects involving welding, cutting, handling, SPMs, and robotics. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing customer requirements, designing preliminary solutions, estimating costs, coordinating with engineering and procurement teams, and aligning proposals with sales strategies. The role also involves supporting sales meetings, responding to technical queries, and ensuring that proposals meet both client specifications and internal standards.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in proposal preparation and proposal writing, including the ability to create clear, accurate, and competitive technical and commercial offers.
• Foundation in electrical / mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline, with understanding of automation systems, robotics, and industrial equipment.
• Sales-related capabilities, such as customer interaction, requirement gathering, and supporting negotiations for automation projects.
• Procurement-related skills, including coordination with suppliers, basic cost estimation, and understanding of components and materials used in automation systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards, and translate them into solution proposals.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools and basic CAD or layout software is an advantage.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site within cross-functional teams.
