Job summary

You will study RFQs, prepare BOMs, and develop costed technical solutions. The role involves vendor pricing, site visits when needed, and close collaboration with sales, engineering, and customers

Qualifications

• 05 years of relevant experience in proposal engineering.
• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Automation.
• Experience with BOM, costing and tender documentation.

Responsibilities

• Study RFQs, specs, tender docs, P&IDs; perform engineering calculations and BOM costing.
• Develop technical solutions aligned with customer applications.
• Select PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, VFDs, MCCs, I/O, networking and instrumentation.
• Prepare system architecture, IO lists and datasheets; note deviations and assumptions.
• Prepare project BOM and costing; obtain supplier and OEM quotes.
• Calculate margins and finalize quotations for management.
• Support sales during negotiations and customer meetings.
• Visit customer sites for application understanding and proposal preparation.

Job Description Proposal Engineer

Position: Proposal Engineer

Location: Ghaziabad

Experience: 05 Years

Qualification: B.E./B. Tech/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation or related engineering field

Key Responsibilities

• Study customer RFQs, specifications, tender documents, P&ID, drawings and scope of work. Doing engineering calculations, BOM preparation and costing
• Understand customer application and develop appropriate technical solutions.
• Select suitable PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, VFDs, MCCs, I/O systems, networking equipment, instrumentation and other automation components.
• Prepare system architecture, IO lists, technical datasheets and compliance statements where required.
• Identify deviations, exclusions, assumptions and technical limitations in the proposal.
• Prepare project BOM, costing based on BOM, engineering, panel manufacturing, software, installation, commissioning and other project requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate prices from suppliers, OEMs and principal companies.
• Calculate project margins and prepare final quotation for management approval.
• Participate in customer meetings, technical discussions and clarification meetings.
• Respond to customer technical queries and prepare clarification documents.
• Support sales team during negotiations and commercial discussions.
• Visit customer sites when required for understanding applications and preparing proposals.
