Job summary

Alphaplan Nextgen Autorobotics in India seeks a Sales Proposal Lead / Sr Engineer Automation to prepare techno-commercial proposals for SPM, assembly lines and EOL systems.

You will coordinate with mechanical, electrical and PLC teams to develop layouts and cost estimates, support sales in technical discussions, and ensure pricing accuracy and profitability.

Qualifications

• BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 38 years of experience in Automation/SPM proposal engineering.

Responsibilities

• Prepare techno-commercial proposals for SPM, Assembly Lines & EOL systems
• Cycle time study, line balancing, equipment selection, process flow, risk analysis, project feasibility study from RFQ & customer feedback
• Understand customer requirements, RFQs, and technical specifications
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical & PLC design teams for solution inputs
• Develop project concepts, layouts, and cost estimations
• Support sales team in technical discussions with clients
• Create accurate costing, BOM, and project estimates
• Ensure proposals meet technical feasibility and customer expectations
• Analyze project scope, risks, and timelines for bidding
• Prepare presentations, proposals, and technical documentation
• Work closely with procurement for vendor costing and inputs
• Ensure alignment with project execution and engineering teams
• Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives
• Participate in client meetings and solution finalization
• Handle multiple RFQs and proposal deadlines efficiently
• Maintain proposal database and technical records
• Ensure accuracy in pricing, margins, and profitability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Design, Finance)
• Strong knowledge of SPM, automation systems, and manufacturing processes
• Good understanding of mechanical design concepts & project costing
