Job summary

Geofast Industries seeks a Project Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary planning and coordination for engineering, procurement, and site execution across India.

You will engage with vendors, prepare techno-commercial comparisons, monitor progress, and support installation, testing, and handover activities, ensuring quality and timely closure of actions.

The role emphasizes documentation, progress reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with field teams.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
• 2-5 years of relevant project or plant engineering experience preferred.
• Exposure to manufacturing plants, project sites, machinery installation, or utilities will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in plant layout planning and overall project coordination.
• Prepare and update plant layouts, equipment layouts, utility layouts, civil/site drawings, and related project drawings under guidance.
• Understand machinery, utility, electrical, instrumentation, and automation requirements.
• Support project schedules, activity tracking, and coordination of technical inputs from stakeholders.
• Coordinate with machinery suppliers, utility vendors, contractors, and consultants.
• Collect quotations, technical offers, drawings, specifications, and supporting documents.
• Prepare techno-commercial comparison statements for evaluation and approval.
• Follow up for drawings, manufacturing status, dispatch, installation, commissioning, and closure of pending points.
• Visit project sites across India as required and support day-to-day execution activities.
• Assist in civil planning and monitor civil, structural, utility, electrical, and equipment installation work.
• Monitor progress, workmanship, and quality against approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal site teams; identify delays, dependencies, and constraints.
• Support machinery erection, installation, testing, trial runs, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate utility readiness and required mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation, and civil interfaces.
• Assist vendors and internal teams during performance trials and project handover.
• Maintain punch lists, installation observations, and pending-action trackers through closure.

Role & responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Engineering Coordination

• Prepare regular project progress reports and site updates.
• Share photographs, observations, completed activities, pending points, risks, and action plans from project sites.
• Maintain drawings, quotations, comparisons, minutes of meeting, schedules, trackers, and technical records.
• Follow up with responsible stakeholders to support timely closure of project actions.

Qualification & Experience

• B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
