Job summary

Cognizant in India is hiring an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead end-to-end technology initiatives. You will partner with business stakeholders, engineering teams, architects, and vendors to manage scope, timelines, resources, risks, and quality.

You will drive governance, stakeholder updates, and executive reporting while coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards. Strong PM skills and cloud/DevOps familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT project delivery including 4+ years as a Technical Project Manager
• Experience leading large-scale app development, system integration or technology transformation projects
• Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery methodologies
• Experience managing cross-functional teams across business and technology functions
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and leadership skills
• Strong project planning, estimation, budgeting, forecasting, and resource management capabilities
• Experience with APIs, microservices, cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and modern architectures
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project or equivalent tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decisions

Responsibilities

• Drive project governance, status reporting, stakeholder communication, and executive updates.
• Monitor project progress against scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog reviews, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure adherence to SDLC processes, release management, security standards, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with solution architects and technical leads to align with enterprise architecture.
• Track project metrics, identify delivery risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, release planning, deployment activities, and production rollouts.
