Elixir Engineering Pvt. Ltd. (EEPL) invites a seasoned Project Manager – Fire Fighting based in Mumbai or at project locations.

You will lead end-to-end planning, execution, and monitoring of multiple fire protection projects, coordinating with clients, PMC, and subcontractors. The ideal candidate has 8–12 years in mechanical EPC fire protection, a Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, and strong skills in project costing, safety, and QA.

Qualifications

  • Experience in handling multiple projects and locations simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute multiple Fire Fighting / Fire Protection projects.
  • Lead and manage Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, PMC, contractors, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Review drawings, BOQs, specs, layouts, and project requirements; ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate procurement, material management, and timely deliveries.
  • Monitor budgets, costs, and billing; support commercial issues.
  • Ensure quality and safety per NFPA and IS standards; coordinate testing and handover.
  • Coordinate testing, commissioning, and project handover to the client.
  • Prepare progress reports and MIS for senior management.

Position: Project Manager – Fire FightingJob Purpose

The Project Manager – Fire Fighting will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, and successful completion of multiple fire protection projects.

The role requires strong technical, commercial, and project management expertise, along with the ability to manage project teams, subcontractors, clients, consultants, and multiple project locations simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Execution
  • Manage and execute multiple Fire Fighting / Fire Protection projects simultaneously.
  • Develop project execution plans, schedules, manpower plans, material requirements, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure projects are completed within approved time, cost, quality, and safety parameters.
  • Monitor project milestones and identify potential delays or risks.
  • Develop recovery plans and take corrective action to ensure timely completion.
Key Responsibilities2. Team & Site Management
  • Lead and manage Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors.
  • Allocate manpower and resources effectively across different project locations.
  • Monitor productivity and ensure optimum utilization of manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Conduct regular site visits and project review meetings.
  • Guide project teams on technical and execution-related matters.
Key Responsibilities3. Client & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, PMC representatives, contractors, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Attend project review meetings and address client/consultant requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders.
  • Resolve technical, commercial, contractual, and site-related issues in coordination with management.
Key Responsibilities4. Technical & Engineering Coordination
  • Review and understand approved drawings, BOQs, specifications, layouts, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Design/Engineering team for drawings, technical clarifications, revisions, and approvals.
  • Ensure execution is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements.
  • Identify design or execution issues and ensure timely resolution.
Key Responsibilities5. Procurement & Material Management
  • Coordinate with Procurement and Stores teams to ensure timely availability of project materials.
  • Monitor material requirements against project schedules.
  • Ensure proper planning of long-lead and critical materials.
  • Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities6. Cost Control & Commercial Management
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, manpower productivity, and material consumption.
  • Track project profitability and identify cost overruns.
  • Coordinate for measurement, RA bills, certification, billing, and payment follow-up.
  • Review variations, additional works, and scope changes.
  • Support the commercial team in resolving billing and contractual issues.
Key Responsibilities7. Quality & Safety
  • Ensure all project activities comply with approved quality standards and safety requirements.
  • Ensure execution is carried out as per applicable NFPA, IS standards, client specifications, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate inspections, quality checks, testing, and approvals.
  • Ensure implementation of safe working practices at all project locations.
Key Responsibilities8. Testing, Commissioning & Handover
  • Plan and coordinate testing and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure successful inspection and approval of completed systems.
  • Coordinate preparation of testing and commissioning reports.
  • Ensure closure of punch points and snag lists.
  • Coordinate final documentation and project handover to the client.
Key Responsibilities9. MIS & Management Reporting
  • Prepare and submit regular project progress reports and MIS to senior management.
  • Track project schedules, manpower, material status, billing, costs, risks, and critical activities.
  • Highlight project risks, delays, and commercial issues to management.
  • Maintain proper project documentation and records.

  • 8–12 years of relevant experience in Fire Fighting / Fire Protection / MEP / EPC projects.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a Project Manager / Senior Project Management role.
  • Experience in handling multiple projects and project locations simultaneously.
  • Experience in industrial, commercial, manufacturing, infrastructure, or MNC projects will be preferred.
Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Fire Fighting / Fire Protection systems.
