Job summary

Shycocare Technologies is seeking an experienced Project Manager Biogas to lead planning, execution, commissioning, and handover of biogas/CBG projects from initiation to commercial operations.

The role requires strong project management, EPC execution, vendor management, and stakeholder communication skills, with hands-on experience managing cross-disciplinary teams while delivering safely and within budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/chemical/civil/electrical engineering.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• MBA/PGDM in PM, Operations, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project planning and execution for biogas/CBG projects within approved timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities across process, mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation, and utilities.
• Manage EPC contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and site execution ensuring designs, schedules and quality adherence.
• Drive procurement of critical equipment/materials and manage vendors; resolve technical/commercial issues.
• Monitor costs, schedules, commitments, variations, and risks; implement corrective actions.
• Lead pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing, start-up, handover to operations.
• Ensure HSE, quality, environmental, and regulatory compliance throughout execution.
• Manage stakeholders, conduct progress reviews, and report to senior management.
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary project teams fostering collaboration and accountability.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager Biogas to lead the planning, execution, commissioning, and successful delivery of biogas/CBG projects from project initiation through commercial operations. The role requires strong expertise in project management, EPC execution, engineering coordination, vendor management, construction, commissioning, cost control, and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering projects safely, within budget, and as per agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution: Lead end-to-end planning and execution of biogas/CBG projects, ensuring delivery within approved timelines, budgets, quality, and performance parameters.

2. Engineering Coordination: Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities across process, mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation, utilities, and related project functions.

3. EPC & Construction Management: Manage EPC contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and site execution activities, ensuring adherence to approved designs, specifications, schedules, and quality standards.

4. Procurement & Vendor Management: Drive timely procurement of critical equipment and materials, manage vendors, and resolve technical and commercial issues affecting project progress.

5. Cost, Schedule & Risk Management: Monitor project costs, schedules, commitments, variations, and risks; implement corrective actions to minimize delays and cost overruns.

6. Commissioning & Start-up: Lead pre-commissioning, commissioning, performance testing, start-up, stabilization, and successful handover of biogas/CBG plants to operations.

7. HSE, Quality & Compliance: Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, environmental, statutory, and regulatory requirements throughout project execution.

8. Stakeholder & Project Reporting: Manage key internal and external stakeholders, conduct project reviews, and provide regular updates on progress, risks, costs, and critical decisions to senior management.

9. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor multidisciplinary project teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and effective coordination across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations.

Educational Qualifications

Essential:

• Bachelors degree in mechanical / chemical / civil / electrical engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• PMP / equivalent project management certification.

Preferred:

• MBA / PGDM in Project Management, Operations, or related field.
• Additional qualifications in renewable energy, waste management, or biogas technology will be an advantage.
