Job summary

Fluid And Power Automations in Mumbai seeks a project manager to lead electrical projects from planning to completion. You will develop plans, allocate resources, monitor progress, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

You will manage a team of engineers and contractors, collaborate with procurement and accounts, and communicate with clients to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires a bachelor's in electrical engineering and proven PM experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in project management (7–5 years) or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Oversee utilization of resources (human, financial, materials, equipment) to ensure efficiency and productivity throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Mobilize the project team and allocate the required resources based on the approved project plan, assigning tasks and coordinating activities.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and services necessary for project execution.
  • Continuously monitor project progress, track KPIs, compare progress against the plan and take corrective actions if deviations occur.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and quality control measures across all electrical planning activities.
  • Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers, technicians, and contractors with clear communication and performance monitoring.
  • Monitor budgets, costs, identify savings opportunities, and report financial status to stakeholders.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks; implement mitigation strategies during project execution.
  • Adapt to changes while keeping the project on track and aligned with timelines.
  • Collaborate with QRD, Procurement, and Accounts to integrate plans within overall project plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and managing expectations.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, prepare progress reports, and present updates to stakeholders.

Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and managing risks is an ongoing process during project execution. Mitigation strategies are implemented to address potential issues that may arise.

Adaptation and Flexibility: Projects are dynamic, and adjustments might be necessary during execution. Project managers must be flexible and adapt to changes while still keeping the project on track.

Project Coordination: Collaborate with other departments (such as QRD, Procurement, and Accounts to integrate plans effectively within overall project plans.

Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing project updates, and managing expectations.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, prepare progress reports, and present updates to stakeholders and management.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, regulations, and safety protocols in all electrical planning activities.

Adherence to Timelines: Monitor project schedules, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to ensure projects are delivered on time.

Preferred candidate profile
