Job summary

Technical Institute Of Science And Engineering Consultant is seeking an experienced Project Manager specializing in Electrical Engineering and EPC infrastructure projects.

You will lead end-to-end execution of high-voltage substations, power distribution networks, industrial plants, and renewable energy integration, overseeing scope, budgets, schedules, resources, technical quality, safety, and client relations from inception to handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, with 4–5 years in PM/leadership for power systems.
• PMP or CAPM certification is highly preferred.
• Proven expertise with Primavera P6 or MS Project and ERP/financial management systems.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical equipment, protection systems, and testing procedures.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage full lifecycle of electrical engineering EPC projects to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Develop and maintain project plans, WBS, master schedules, and milestone tracking.
• Monitor budgets, cash flow, invoices, variations, and profit margins.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE/NEC codes and local utility regulations.
• Manage client, consultants, and stakeholders, report progress, and resolve disputes.
• Implement HSE protocols and QA/QC measures across sites.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager specialized in Electrical Engineering and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will lead end-to-end execution of complex electrical engineering projectsranging from high-voltage substations and power distribution networks to industrial plants and renewable energy integration. You will oversee project scope, financial budgets, schedules, resource allocation, technical quality, safety compliance, and client relations, ensuring successful project delivery from inception through engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), testing, and final handover.

Key Responsibilities & Core Competencies

• Project Lifecycle Management: Direct and manage full project lifecycles for electrical engineering projects, ensuring delivery on-time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Planning & Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project management plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), master schedules (Primavera P6/MS Project), and milestone tracking metrics.
• Financial & Budget Control: Monitor project financial performance, including budgeting, cost forecasting, cash flow tracking, invoice approvals, variation order management, and profit-margin optimization.
• Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams (Design, Procurement, Site Execution, Testing & Commissioning) and coordinate effectively with subcontractors and vendors.
• Technical & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with technical specifications, international design codes (IEC, IEEE, NEC), and local utility regulations across all project phases.
• Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders, managing expectations, reporting progress, and resolving contractual or technical disputes.
• HSE & Quality Assurance: Implement robust Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols and rigorous Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) measures across all work sites.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 8 to 12 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, with at least 4 to 5 years in a project management or leadership capacity handling power systems/substations.
• Certifications: Professional certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is highly preferred.
• Software Proficiency: Proven expertise in project scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project) and financial/ERP management systems.
• Technical Background: Comprehensive technical knowledge of electrical primary/secondary equipment, protection systems, power studies, and site testing procedures.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, leadership, conflict resolution, and written/verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering major utility or industrial EPC electrical projects in the region.
• Experience handling contractual frameworks (FIDIC contracts).
