Job summary

Thoughtplay Lab is seeking a hands-on project manager to lead on-site interior/fit-out execution for corporate spaces in Bengaluru. You will coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors and vendors, ensuring work aligns with approved drawings and design intent, while managing schedules, costs and quality.

Qualifications

• Must have degree or diploma in civil, architecture or interior design.
• Experience in corporate office interiors or commercial fit-out projects preferred.
• Strong reading and interpretation of architectural, interior and services drawings.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-site execution of office interior/fit-out projects.
• Prepare and track project schedules, milestones and progress.
• Coordinate with architects, designers, consultants, contractors, vendors and client teams.
• Ensure execution per drawings, specifications, BOQ and design intent.
• Review service drawings (MEP, HVAC, electrical, fire) for site coordination.
• Conduct regular site meetings and resolve issues proactively.
• Manage contractors and subcontractors and monitor manpower deployment.
• Coordinate material approvals, procurement schedules and site deliveries.
• Monitor quality, cost and timelines throughout the project.
• Identify delays early and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain site documentation including progress reports and snag lists.
• Coordinate measurements, quantities and contractor/vendor billing with QS/commercial team.
• Ensure compliance with site safety and quality standards.
• Manage snagging, testing, commissioning and final handover.
• Maintain strong communication with client and internal design team.

Role & responsibilities

• Manage complete on-site execution of office interior/fit-out projects.
• Prepare and track project schedules, milestones and daily/weekly progress.
• Coordinate closely with architects, designers, consultants, contractors, vendors and client teams.
• Ensure execution is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQ and design intent.
• Review architectural, MEP, HVAC, electrical, fire-fighting and other services drawings for site coordination.
• Conduct regular site meetings and resolve execution and coordination issues proactively.
• Manage contractors and subcontractors and monitor manpower deployment.
• Coordinate material approvals, procurement schedules and site deliveries.
• Monitor quality, cost and timelines throughout the project.
• Identify potential delays or site issues early and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain proper documentation including progress reports, MOMs, site records, checklists and snag lists.
• Coordinate measurements, quantities and contractor/vendor billing with the QS/commercial team.
• Ensure compliance with site safety and quality standards.
• Manage snagging, testing, commissioning and final project handover.
• Maintain strong communication with the client and internal design team throughout execution.

Preferred candidate profile

• Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture or Interior Design.
• 510 years of relevant experience, preferably in corporate office interiors and commercial fit-out projects.
• Strong understanding of interior construction, MEP coordination, materials and execution methodology.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, interior and services drawings.
• Strong contractor, vendor and client management skills.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel and project tracking/reporting tools.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of independently managing multiple work fronts and delivering projects within committed timelines.
