Job Overview
We are looking for a Project Management Engineer with strong experience in automotive test coordination, validation workflows, and E/E development alignment. The role involves managing resources, schedules, Jira‑based tracking, and cross‑functional communication, especially with stakeholders such as AUDI I/ES‑C7. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and skilled in managing complex automotive development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Resource Coordination & Planning: Coordinate allocation of testing resources including test benches, HiL systems, testers, and diagnostic experts. Track resource availability, workload, and capacity for timely deliveries. Align resource needs between development, testing, and integration teams.
- Schedule & Milestone Management: Define and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables across AP packages. Monitor progress vs. plan and identify deviations early. Support milestone planning in line with AUDI release cycles. Drive re‑planning or escalation when deadlines are at risk.
- Stakeholder Communication & Alignment: Act as the key liaison with internal teams and external stakeholders (including AUDI I/ES‑C7). Conduct status meetings, reviews, and follow‑ups with cross‑functional teams. Communicate risks, issues, and progress clearly. Prepare and present project updates to leadership and customers.
- Reporting & Documentation: Create structured project reports including risks, open actions, and resource utilization. Maintain documentation: decisions, action logs, meeting minutes, and release summaries. Support escalation and quality‑related documentation.
- Jira‑Based Project Coordination: Use Jira for sprint planning, backlog management, and workflow tracking. Ensure tasks are documented, prioritized, and assigned properly. Monitor ticket progress and remove blockers via coordination. Build Jira dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify risks related to schedule, resources, dependencies, or quality. Support mitigation strategies and contingency planning. Maintain risk logs and ensure timely communication.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with test engineers, system engineers, developers, diagnostics teams, and quality teams. Ensure smooth information flow during development and testing phases. Align priorities across teams for timely execution.
Technical Skills (Advanced)
- Strong knowledge of Agile, V-Model, or hybrid project management methodologies.
- Experience in roadmap creation, planning, and milestone tracking.
- Understanding of OEM–Tier1 collaboration in automotive development.
Tools & Platforms
- Proficient in Jira (tracking, planning, dashboards, reporting).
- Strong MS Excel & PowerPoint skills for reporting.
- Experience with Confluence or similar documentation tools.
Automotive Domain Knowledge
- Familiarity with AUDI processes, release cycles, and QA expectations (preferred).
- Understanding of E/E development, diagnostics, testing, and validation workflows.
- Knowledge of ASPICE‑related PM documentation.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Strong organizational skills with proactive problem‑solving.
- Ability to coordinate large, diverse technical teams.
- Strong presentation and reporting skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in project coordination/management in automotive or technology domains.
- Hands‑on experience with Jira.
- Experience working with OEMs (AUDI highly preferred).
