Job summary

Siemens Energy seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead rotating equipment projects for onshore and offshore oil & gas and process industries.

You will manage technical scope, coordinate multi-discipline teams, and drive scheduling, BOMs, and documentation while ensuring compliance with contracts and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience in packaging or operation of rotating equipment.
• 10+ years experience in rotating equipment for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and related process industries.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and lead a small team.
• Experience with PLM software (Teamcenter) and SAP/Jira.

Responsibilities

• Manage complete technical scope for supply of new packaged rotating equipment for onshore and offshore projects, including gas turbine-generators and electric motor-driven trains.
• Lead global technical project teams of multi-discipline engineers, designers and suppliers.
• Manage engineering schedule, release of equipment specifications, bills of material, and customer documentation.
• Lead all technical contract requirements to deliver on targets and standards.
• Provide engineering support during proposal, manufacturing, testing, installation, commissioning and operation.
• Support design decisions to meet contract requirements, and translate contract requirements to the project team.
• Conduct detailed review of contract requirements and specifications and communicate them to the team.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Manage complete technical scope for supply of new packaged rotating equipment for onshore and offshore projects including gas turbine-generators, gas turbine-compressors, electric motor-driven compressor trains, and extended plant scope.
• Good understanding of Gear Box, Coupling and systems
• Support Project Manager to address technical concerns with internal and external clients. Lead global technical project teams of multi-discipline engineers, designers and suppliers
• Manage Engineering schedule, including on time release of equipment specifications, bills of material, and customer documentation
• Lead all technical contract requirements on assigned projects to deliver on targets and objectives, including certifications and compliance to all applicable standards
• Provide engineering support during proposal, manufacturing, testing, installation, commissioning and operation
• Support team with detailed design decisions to meet contract requirements, such as overall system control philosophies and main equipment specification
• Conduct detailed review of contract requirements and specifications and translate these to the project team.

What You Bring

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience in packaging or operation of rotating equipment
• Relevant minimum experience of 10 years is expected in the field of Rotating Equipment for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and other Process Industry applications, achieved through combination of positions in Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Proposals, and/or Procurement.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
• Ability to direct a small team and give general direction to others
• Experience with Engineering/PLM software Teamcenter, NX, E3, COMOS, and/or Jira
• Excellent computer skills (Pivot Tables, VBA or other programming language)
• Experience with SAP
• Prior knowledge of Siemens applications, customers, processes, and products
