Job Description – Project Head (EPC)

Function: EPC
Location: Goa / Ayodhya
Reporting To: Chief Project Officer
Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
Experience: 15-25 years

Role Overview

The Project Head will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution and delivery of large-scale projects, with a strong focus on hospitality, luxury hotels, resorts and premium real estate developments.

The role requires an experienced project leader with a strong understanding of construction execution, project planning, cost management, quality control and stakeholder management. The individual will oversee the complete project lifecycle, from conceptualisation and planning through construction, commissioning and final handover, ensuring adherence to approved timelines, budgets, quality standards and safety requirements.

Candidates with substantial experience in hospitality projects, particularly 5-star hotels, luxury resorts and premium hospitality developments, will be preferred. Experience in residential, commercial and infrastructure projects will also be considered, provided the candidate has strong end-to-end project execution capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Take complete ownership of project delivery from planning and mobilisation through construction, commissioning and handover.

• Project Planning & Execution: Develop and monitor project schedules, milestones and execution plans to ensure timely completion.

• Construction Management: Oversee civil, structural, architectural, MEP and finishing works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications.

• Hospitality Project Delivery: Drive the execution of hospitality projects, including 5-star hotels, luxury resorts and premium developments, with an understanding of the quality, finishing and service-readiness standards expected in such properties.

• Cost & Budget Management: Monitor project expenditure, control costs, identify potential overruns and drive cost optimisation without compromising quality.

• Design & Technical Coordination: Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, Project Management Consultants (PMCs), contractors and other stakeholders.

• Quality & Safety: Ensure compliance with construction quality standards, EHS policies, statutory requirements and approved project specifications.

• Vendor & Contractor Management: Oversee contractor performance, resource deployment, procurement coordination and resolution of site-level issues.

• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, vendors, statutory authorities and senior management to ensure seamless project execution.

• Risk & Issue Management: Identify project risks, address execution challenges and implement timely corrective and preventive measures.

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary project team, ensuring accountability, productivity and effective coordination.

• Project Handover: Ensure testing, commissioning, snag rectification, documentation and final handover in accordance with project requirements.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in end-to-end project management and construction execution.

• Experience in delivering hospitality projects, especially 5-star hotels, luxury resorts or premium hospitality developments.

• Strong understanding of civil, structural, architectural, finishing and MEP works.

• Expertise in project planning, scheduling, budget management and cost control.

• Experience managing architects, consultants, PMCs, contractors and multiple project stakeholders.

• Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, safety practices and statutory compliance.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.

• Strong problem-solving, decision-making and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Proficiency in MS Project, MS Excel and other project planning and reporting tools.

Ideal Candidate Profile

An accomplished project professional with 15-25 years of experience in construction and project execution, preferably with a strong background in 5-star hotels, luxury hospitality, resorts or high-end real estate developments.

The ideal candidate should have independently managed large-scale projects from planning to handover, possess strong technical and commercial capabilities, and demonstrate the ability to deliver projects to exacting standards of quality, timelines, cost and execution.

Preferred Industry Backgrounds:

• Hospitality – 5-star hotels, luxury resorts and premium hospitality developments

• Real Estate – Premium residential and mixed-use developments

• Commercial – Large-scale commercial buildings and developments
