Job summary

Zafify seeks a Project Head - Civil, Interior & Construction in Delhi to oversee civil, interior fit-out, construction, and MEP coordination for medical facilities and corporate offices. You will lead planning, scheduling, procurement, and on-site execution, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to safety standards.

The role requires 10–15+ years of relevant experience, with expertise across healthcare projects, interior fit-out, and client coordination.

Qualifications

  • BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Additional qualification or experience in Interior Fit-Out / Project Management preferred.
  • PMP or other project management certification adds advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage complete project execution from handover to final completion.
  • Prepare execution plans, construction schedules, manpower planning, and procurement schedules.
  • Monitor progress against approved timelines and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate civil, interior fit-out, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting and other MEP activities.
  • Manage hospitals, OPDs, clinics, diagnostic centres, and corporate office projects.
  • Coordinate with hospital management, consultants, architects, and vendors.
  • Lead Project Managers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, Contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure quality control and safety compliance; maintain project documentation.

Job Location
Job Purpose

The Project Head will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, coordination, monitoring, and successful delivery of civil, interior fit‑out, construction, and MEP coordination works for medical facilities, hospitals, clinics, OPDs, diagnostic centres, and corporate office projects.

The position requires strong leadership and project management skills to ensure projects are completed within the approved timeline, budget, quality standards, and safety requirements.

1. Project Planning & Execution
  • Plan, organize, and manage complete project execution from project handover to final completion and handover.
  • Prepare project execution plans, construction schedules, manpower planning, and material procurement schedules.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly project progress against approved timelines.
  • Identify potential delays and implement corrective actions to ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between civil, interior, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, and other MEP activities.
2. Medical & Healthcare Projects
  • Manage execution of hospitals, OPDs, clinics, diagnostic centres, laboratories, and other healthcare facilities.
  • Ensure coordination of specialized requirements such as:
    • Modular OT and medical interiors
    • HVAC and AHU systems
    • Electrical and ELV systems
    • Plumbing and sanitary works
    • Fire fighting and fire alarm systems
    • Medical gas pipeline coordination
    • Nurse calling systems and other healthcare infrastructure
  • Coordinate with hospital management, consultants, architects, and vendors to meet project‑specific requirements.
3. Corporate Interior Projects
  • Lead execution of corporate office interiors and commercial fit‑out projects.
  • Manage civil modifications, partitions, ceilings, flooring, furniture, joinery, glazing, painting, and finishing works.
  • Coordinate with MEP agencies for seamless execution and final handover.
4. Team & Site Management
  • Lead and manage Project Managers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, Contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct regular project review meetings and monitor team performance.
  • Provide technical guidance and resolve site‑related execution issues.
  • Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with vendors, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Review quotations, technical specifications, scope of work, and commercial comparisons.
  • Monitor vendor performance, material quality, delivery schedules, and work progress.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials to avoid project delays.
6. Cost & Budget Control
  • Monitor project budgets and control project costs.
  • Review BOQs, estimates, variation items, and extra works.
  • Coordinate with the commercial and accounts teams for billing and payment planning.
  • Minimize material wastage and optimize project resources.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, consultants, and project stakeholders.
  • Attend client meetings and provide regular project updates.
  • Address client concerns and ensure timely resolution of project‑related issues.
  • Manage approvals for drawings, materials, samples, mock‑ups, and variation works.
8. Quality Control & Safety
  • Ensure all works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, and quality standards.
  • Implement quality control procedures at all project stages.
  • Ensure compliance with site safety requirements and statutory regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality reviews.
  • Review and certify contractor and vendor bills.
  • Monitor RA bills, client billing, variation orders, and extra item approvals.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of project documentation, including:
    • Approved drawings
    • BOQs and estimates
    • Work orders and purchase orders
    • Material approvals
    • Site instructions
    • MOMs
    • Progress reports
    • Snag lists and handover documents
10. Project Handover & Closure
  • Ensure timely completion of all project activities.
  • Prepare and monitor snag lists and ensure closure before handover.
  • Coordinate final testing, commissioning, and approvals wherever applicable.
  • Ensure submission of as‑built drawings, warranties, manuals, and other required documents.
  • Complete final project handover and closure within the approved timeline.
Required Qualifications
  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Additional qualification or experience in Interior Fit‑Out / Project Management will be preferred.
  • PMP or other project management certification will be an added advantage.
Experience
  • 10–15+ years of relevant experience in civil construction, interior fit‑outs, and project management.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a senior project management or project leadership role.
  • Experience in hospital, healthcare, medical, commercial, and corporate office projects will be highly preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be a strong project leader with hands‑on experience in managing multiple civil, interior, and construction projects simultaneously, particularly in medical, healthcare, hospital, clinic, diagnostic, and corporate office environments. The candidate should have excellent leadership, client coordination, technical, commercial, and project execution capabilities.
