Honeywell Technologies is seeking an Asset Performance Management (APM) Project Engineer II to lead model configuration, quality checks, and delivery across refining, oil & gas, chemical, and mining domains. The role involves working with design documents, customer workshops, and developing performance models for various equipment and processes.

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of experience implementing APM for refining, petrochemical, mining, or power industries.
  • Strong understanding of unit operations in chemical processes.
  • Ability to build equipment/process performance models using thermodynamics and first principles.
  • Knowledge of APM modules: RCM, FMEA, RCA, etc.
  • Experience in Python and SQL; able to write queries and procedures.
  • Experience integrating APM with OPC/ODBC/OLEDB or web services.

Responsibilities

  • Configure APM models per design documents and deliver on time with quality.
  • Follow design docs (FDS, DDS, test procedures) during delivery.
  • Participate in customer meetings (KOM, workshops, trainings, testing).
  • Develop performance models for new equipment types and process scenarios.
  • Ensure tasks are completed within scope and timelines; mentor junior colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • The Asset Performance Management (APM) Project Engineer II will be responsible for model configuration, quality checks, support technical delivery, timely identification of gaps, focus on schedule delivery with quality, process improvement and work on all type of Asset Performance Management (APM) solutions implementation for the Refining, Oil and Gas, Chemical, Power and Mining Industries.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • APM model configuration as per design, with quality and on time delivery.
  • Thoroughly follow agreed design documents (FDS, DDS, test procedures and training manuals) during project execution.
  • Participate customer meetings including KOM, design workshops, trainings, and testing and work as per agreed action.
  • Build performance and analytical models for new equipment types.
  • Build models for process scenarios.
  • Ensure assignment finish within time and with quality.
  • Work with lead and prioritize & work accordingly on open points or planned assignment.
  • Follow the Company defined standard practices and methods

Your role will also include overseeing, supervising, and reviewing tasks performed by team members to ensure effective execution of work; managing end-to-end processes and projects for both internal and external clients with responsibility for timely and accurate delivery; issuing clear instructions and guidance to team members on assigned tasks; and mentoring and guiding junior colleagues to support their skill development, professional growth, and overall success

Qualifications
  • 4-6 years’ experience in implementing APM solutions for refining, petrochemical, mining, power, or other chemical industries
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of the unit operations and processes utilized in the chemical process industries.
  • Able to build equipment/process performance models using thermodynamic and 1st principles.
  • Good understanding of the Industry standards followed in APM space.
  • Experience in operations, maintenance & diagnosis of failures for key operating equipment’s like Pumps, Compressors, Turbines, Heat Exchangers, Furnaces and similar rotary/static equipment.
  • Understanding and implementation knowledge of APM modules like Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) etc.,
  • Working experience in Python or other Machine Learning tools.
  • Experience in writing SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Working experience of integration with other systems using OPC, OLEDB, ODBC and web services.
  • Experience in implementing APM using Aspen M-Tell, GE Smart Signal, AVEVA APM, Expert Microsystems SureSense or similar APM solutions.
