Job summary

Sumangala Steel Private Limited in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry invites an experienced Project Engineer to lead steel mill projects from planning through execution, coordinating civil, structural and mechanical work.

You will review designs, manage procurement and site activities, supervise drawings, BOQs and contracts, and ensure timelines, budgets, safety and quality compliance.

Qualifications

• 10 to 20 years of experience in civil, structural and mechanical equipment projects.
• Experience with steel mill projects from planning to execution.
• Proficient in design review, structural analysis and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage steel mill projects (civil & structural) from planning to execution.
• Participate & manage design layout, procurement & site execution.
• Oversee design review, structural analysis, AutoCAD proficiency and documentation.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams
• Ensure projects are delivered within timelines and approved budgets
• Monitor quality control, safety standards, and statutory compliance
• Review drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, tenders and contracts
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical challenges
• Prepare project progress reports and present updates to management.

Experience :

10 to 20 Years with strong management and construction experience in civil, structural & mechanical equipments.

Salary:

Rs. 12 to Rs.18 Lacs (Based on Experience & Capability)

Education

• B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering


• Relevant certifications in project management

Key Responsibilities
