Job summary

Synergy Infratech Power Systems is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to oversee multi-vendor coordination and engineering deliverables for steel fabrication projects. You will manage BOM creation, ERP-based purchase requests, and cost control while driving project timelines and performance standards.

The role requires 8–10 years of relevant experience, a mechanical engineering degree, and hands-on knowledge of fabrication processes and welding methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 8–10 years of experience in steel fabrication projects with exposure to fabrication drawings, welding processes, and fabrication methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordination with sub vendors / customers for material follow up and subcontractor management.
• Create BOM as per drawings, raise PR in ERP systems, manage costs.
• Execute engineering projects by organizing and managing all project elements.
• Develop project objectives by reviewing proposals and plans and consulting with management.
• Define project responsibilities by identifying phases and elements, assigning personnel, and reviewing contractor bids.
• Establish project specifications by analyzing product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
• Conduct technical studies and prepare cost estimates.
• Validate product performance through design and testing.
• Create project schedules by studying plans, calculating time requirements, and sequencing tasks.
• Maintain project timelines by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving issues.
• Review designs and specifications to control project plans, schedule changes, and recommend actions.
• Manage project costs by approving expenditures and overseeing contractor contracts.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
