Job summary

Kalpataru Projects International ltd in Nagothane, Maharashtra, is seeking a seasoned Project Control Manager for Oil & Gas projects. The role oversees project controls, risk, cost and scheduling, guiding a team and coordinating with multiple departments to ensure alignment with execution strategy.

The candidate will bring 15+ years in project controls, including at least 5 years on plant projects, with a Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in project controls, with minimum 5 years in plant projects.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering is required.
• Experience with high-value Oil & Gas projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project controls team and deliver defined functional objectives.
• Support project managers with overall project/portfolio status.
• Coordinate with other departments on planning objectives.
• Prepare cost reports, control curves and forecasts per execution strategy.
• Prepare and issue schedules in line with the project execution strategy.
• Study and understand all project documents and conditions.
• Establish and define project control procedures and work instructions.
• Define primary objectives at project/department level highlighting schedule and cost needs.
• Organize and direct the project control team.
• Maintain time and cost trend statistics.
• Monitor time and cost reports and alert management for corrective action.
• Review project status with planning engineers and management; recommend actions.
• Liaise with other departments to keep information updated.
• Experience with Primavera P6, MS Excel and other project controls software.

Hiring for Project Control Manager at Kalpataru Projects International ltd in the Oil & Gas Division.

Job Location: Nagothane - Maharashtra

Project Control manager (Oil & gas projects)

• 15+ years of experience is a must out of which Minimum 5 Years in Plant projects
• Bachelor/master's in engineering is a must

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under general direction, is accountable for the performance and results of a related discipline or sub-group within project controls. Manages the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to team members. Participates in the development of functional strategy and may be responsible for global processes and procedures estimating, project risk control, cost control, and scheduling.

• Support the Project Managers and Manager of Projects with the overall status of the projects/portfolio
• Assist in coordinating with other departments task force members related to project planning objectives.
• Participate in regular progress and coordination meetings with the project staff.
• Ensure cost reports, control curves and forecasts are prepared and issued in accordance with the project execution strategy.
• Ensure schedules are prepared and issued in accordance with the project execution strategy.
• Study and understand all relevant documents and conditions pertaining to the projects.
• Establish and define project orientated project control procedures and wart instructions.
• Define primary job objectives clearly at project and departmental management levels by highlighting schedule and cost requirements.
• Organize and direct the activities of the project control team.
• Ensure the maintenance of both time and cost trend statistics.
• Monitor and compare both time and cost reports and relating conclusions such that management control action is alerted at the right time.
• Review overall job status with planning engineers and management and recommend corrective action if necessary.
• Liaise with other departments at all meetings relative to project operations, to ensure that information affecting the project plan is continually updated.
• Experience in all aspects of Primavera p6 software package, Microsoft Excel and other project controls software.

REQUIREMENTS

• Has experience in handling high value projects.
• Specific experience and demonstrated skill in directing cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, change management and cost analysis required
• Experience with directing, planning, and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis required
• Advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, and construction projects in the Oil & Gas industry required Broad knowledge of Project Control Systems including leading schedule processing software, databases and spreadsheet applications
