Job summary

Kalpataru Projects International Ltd in the Oil and Gas division seeks a seasoned Planning Lead/Manager to oversee multi‑project planning from the HO. With a BE (Mech) and 15+ years in refinery/petrochemicals, you will drive master schedules, resource deployment, and cost control.

You will coordinate engineering, procurement, site teams and client reporting, prepare delay analyses and EOT support, and ensure timely delivery of EPC projects using Primavera/MS Projects.

Qualifications

• BE (Mech) with 15+ years experience in refinery/petrochemicals.
• Preferably Oil & Gas industry exposure.
• Experience in planning for EPC projects using Primavera.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling, and progress reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare material, manpower and equipment deployment plans for EPC construction.
• Develop Master Schedule (L2-L4) and update via Primavera.
• Generate periodic progress reports (MPR/MIS) for client and management.
• Prepare weightage distribution, progress reporting and S‑Curve.
• Coordinate engineering and procurement for EPC projects.
• Monitor progress vs plan and advise resource deployment.
• Review site progress and propose recovery plans.
• Prepare project budget with PM and control costs vs progress.
• Sub‑contractor bill checking against actual progress.
• Estimate likely monthly billing and submit invoices to client.
• Coordinate interdepartmentally with site, consultant and client.
• Prepare planning packages, rate schedules and bid reports for PMC/Client.
• Prepare delay analyses and EOT documentation.
• Support contract team for extra claims with required documents.

Job description

Hiring for Planning Lead/ Manager at Kalpataru Projects International Ltd in the Oil and Gas division.

Education : BE (Mech)15 + years experience in refinery.petrochemicals. Preferably in Oil & Gas industry.

Summary: Handling planning functions of multiple projects from HO.

Area of Responsibilities:

• Prepare Material, Manpower & Equipment deployment plan for required progress under construction & EPC Contracts.
• Preparation of Project Master Schedule in L2, L-3 & L-4 with Primavera software as well as updating the same.
• Generate Periodical Progress Reports, like-exceptional reports, MPR & MIS for client & top management.
• Preparation of weight age distribution, % progress reporting & S-Curve etc.
• Responsible for Engineering & Procurement Co-ordination of EPC Projects
• Monitor actual Progress vis--vis work front and regularly recommend resource deployment (Equipment & Manpower)
• Review Site Progress vis--vis plan and analyse reasons for shortfall for preparing & recommending recovery plan.
• Responsible for preparing Budget in consultation with Project Manager and upon approval carry out control of cost, based on assessment of the progress of the actual cost incurred & to project cost to complete balance activities Suggest Corrective Actions in case of delay /loss.
• Engineering Sub-contractors bill checking against actual Progress.
• Should be able to work out accurate estimates of likely monthly billing and prepare & submission of billing to client (engineering & procurement).
• Regular co-ordination interdepartmental at site-consultant-client
• MRM presentation preparation and submission to PM
• Preparing and submitting Planning packages, Schedule of Rates, Invoice formats and other reports as per Bid requirements to PMC/Client for approval at initial stages of the project.
• Preparation of delay analysis reports to PM as per requirements.
• Support contract team for extra claim and EOT (extension of time) by providing required documents and schedules.
