Description This position manages the control systems for engineering, procurement, and construction activities within the EPC scope. The incumbent shall establish the schedule, monitor progress, analyze variances, and provide recommendations to the project team.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Understand the EPC scope of work and identify the project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks and targets.
- Create a WBS structure for scheduling and progress measurement.
- Prepare an overall master schedule integrating the work breakdown structure using scheduling software (Primavera P6).
- Create resources in Primavera and load man-hours into the scheduled activities.
- Create various schedule reports and determine the appropriate reporting format.
- Analyze project control reports, present findings, and provide recommendations to the project team.
- Monitor project progress using earned value techniques.
- Track the budget and ensure it aligns with project costs.
- Be well‑versed with Ecosys or other cost management tools.
- Manage the change management system.
- Liaise with all team leaders and/or members to communicate required completion dates and serve as an interface between the functional team and project team.
- Prepare reports with accurate forecasts.
Qualifications
- BE/BTech (full time).
- Experience: 4-12 years.
- Advanced knowledge in Excel spreadsheets, including Power Pivot tables.
- Basic understanding of MSP, Primavera P6, and Power BI.
- Interest to learn and develop project controls capabilities.
- Basic understanding of OGC deliverables, engineering workflow, and OGC project controls knowledge areas.
- Good understanding of schedule activity sequencing types and techniques.
