Job summary

Natural Plant Protection Limited in Bangalore is seeking a Civil Engineer to lead industrial construction sites. You will oversee foundations, pedestals, and steel erections, ensuring drawings, BOQs, and specs are followed.

With 4–6 years of experience, you will coordinate with contractors, monitor progress, enforce safety, and prepare reports while aligning with project schedules. This third-party role offers hands-on site leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or diploma in Civil Engineering with 4–6 years industrial project experience.
• Experience in structural steel erection and site execution.
• Ability to read civil drawings, BOQs, and specs.

Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor all civil construction activities including foundations, pedestals, roads.
• Review civil drawings, BOQs, and specifications for project execution.
• Coordinate with contractors for manpower, materials, machinery, and resources.
• Ensure project activities are completed as per approved schedules.
• Identify construction bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Supervise erection of structural steel works including pipe racks, equipment structures, platforms, sheds, staircases, ladders, and support structures.
• Review structural GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection plans.
• Verify alignment, plumbness, levels, and dimensions during erection.
• Coordinate lifting and installation activities using cranes and other equipment.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Process departments for smooth project execution.
• Ensure civil and structural readiness for equipment installation activities.
• Attend project review meetings and provide construction progress updates.
• Resolve technical issues and contractor queries.
• Enforce site safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure safe working practices during excavation, concreting, lifting, and work-at-height activities.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety audits.
• Monitor contractor compliance with EHS requirements and permit systems.
• Monitor contractor performance, productivity, and work quality.
• Verify contractor measurements and certify bills.
• Track resource deployment and project milestones.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Track project schedules and milestones.
• Monitor project quantities and cost impact of scope changes.
• Assist in preparation of project MIS and management presentations.
