Programme Associate – Skill Development in Mumbai | Veruschka Foundation

Veruschka Foundation empowers persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities to become contributing members of society through the power of food. They work on awareness and inclusion, life and market skills training, and sustainable livelihood opportunities through mainstream employment, micro-entrepreneurship, and supported employment. Their culinary-based model blends disability advocacy, skill-building, and real economic opportunity for people who are often left out of the workforce.

Role

Lead on-ground delivery of Veruschka Foundation's skill development programmes mobilising communities, managing student admissions, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, and tracking programme outcomes to support the growth and independence of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the Programme Manager in delivering programmes on time and in line with established procedures
• Coordinate day to day field-level operations, liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Lead outreach to engage potential students and community stakeholders through field visits, awareness sessions, and partnerships with local institutions
• Manage end to end student admissions counselling parents and students, sharing programme details, addressing concerns, and ensuring smooth enrolment
• Collaborate with the communications team on mobilisation campaigns across offline and digital channels
• Collect, collate, and analyse programme data using MIS tools; coordinate with faculty, special educators, and counsellors for accurate data entry
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly impact reports for internal use and donor reporting
• Provide programme information, photographs, and success stories to support the Annual Report and other communication materials
• Support student onboarding and ongoing participation through smooth administrative processes
• Coordinate with Veruschka Foundation's employment initiative and external placement partners to support graduates in securing income-generation opportunities
• Track employability outcomes and support efforts to improve financial independence among programme graduates

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Education, Sustainability, Social Work, or a related field
• 2 to 3 years of prior work experience, with experience in programme implementation or community mobilisation preferred
• Strong community outreach, stakeholder mobilisation, and programme coordination skills
• Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting; familiarity with MIS tools and project management
• Ability to conduct focus group discussions and field visits
• Empathetic and persuasive communication skills
