Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3–4+ years of relevant experience in education, consulting, government, social impact, or programme management.
• Strong experience in on-ground programme implementation is essential.
• Experience working with government stakeholders and/or the education sector is preferred.
• Experience with M&E frameworks, programme evaluation, research, or data analysis is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
• Punjabi proficiency is preferred and beneficial.

About the Role

We are looking for a Program Manager to lead the implementation of a large-scale vocational education initiative in Punjab. The role will focus on strengthening skill-based education for senior secondary students by improving vocational curricula, building teacher and school capacity, strengthening industry-school linkages, and ensuring effective on-ground implementation.

The role will involve working closely with government stakeholders, schools, education experts, industry partners, and implementation teams to drive programme strategy, execution, monitoring, and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Programme Strategy & Curriculum

• Support programme strategy and develop action plans based on research and on-ground insights.
• Facilitate consultations and workshops with industry experts, trainers, students, and other stakeholders to strengthen vocational curricula.
• Coordinate with curriculum experts on curriculum, assessments, training plans, and implementation.
• Monitor curriculum effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

2. Programme Implementation & Monitoring

• Lead assigned programme verticals and oversee effective on-ground implementation.
• Coordinate with government officials, schools, implementation partners, and internal teams to achieve programme objectives.
• Track programme milestones, outcomes, budgets, resources, and timelines.
• Identify implementation challenges and develop practical solutions and course corrections.
• Support the development and implementation of M&E frameworks, indicators, and milestones.

3. Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain relationships with government officials, school leadership, vocational teachers, industry stakeholders, and implementation partners.
• Enable partners and field teams to deliver against agreed outcomes and timelines.
• Facilitate effective coordination across multiple stakeholders and workstreams.

4. Research, Documentation & Reporting

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to understand system-level challenges and identify evidence-based solutions.
• Prepare and review reports, presentations, concept notes, proposals, and programme documentation.
• Document on-ground learnings, best practices, challenges, and programme outcomes.
• Contribute to internal knowledge-building and learning.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree with 3–4+ years of relevant experience in education, consulting, government, social impact, or programme management.
• Strong experience in on-ground programme implementation is essential.
• Experience working with government stakeholders and/or the education sector is preferred.
• Experience with M&E frameworks, programme evaluation, research, or data analysis is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight timelines.
• Basic familiarity with AI tools and comfort using technology for research and productivity.
• Punjabi proficiency is preferred.
