Job summary

Going To School in India seeks a field program coordinator to implement activities aligned with educational objectives. You will lead field teams, build stakeholder relationships, and ensure program delivery across multiple locations.

The role requires 3-5 years in NGO or education programs, strong communication and reporting skills, and willingness to travel regularly to project sites. Fluency in English and Kannada is preferred, with MS Office/G Suite proficiency expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Education, Management, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in NGO, education, community development, or social-sector programs.
  • Experience in managing field teams and implementing projects/programs.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Good analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace and digital reporting tools.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to project locations.
  • Fluency in English and Kannada; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement program activities as per organizational objectives.
  • Manage and support field teams to ensure smooth program delivery.
  • Develop work plans, targets, timelines, and monitor progress against them.
  • Build and maintain relationships with schools, government officials, community stakeholders, and partner organizations.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor program quality and provide guidance to team members.
  • Track program data, outcomes, and impact and prepare regular reports.
  • Identify implementation challenges and develop timely solutions.
  • Organize training, workshops, meetings, and capacity-building activities for staff and stakeholders.
  • Ensure proper documentation of program activities, success stories, and learnings.
  • Coordinate with the central/leadership team for program updates, planning, and reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safeguarding standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Support monitoring and evaluation activities and contribute to program improvement.
