Job summary

Bajaj Electricals is seeking an experienced Senior Project Leader to drive strategic initiatives from ideation to market launch at our Navi Mumbai facility. The role emphasizes end-to-end planning, governance, and cross-functional coordination across R&D, product, sourcing and manufacturing to meet business outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 10–12 years of experience in New Product Launches, preferably in consumer products or home appliances, and a track record of driving portfolio performance

Qualifications

• Experience in handling New product Development projects.
• Minimum 10-12 years' experience in New product Launches.
• Preferably from Consumer products, Home appliances.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring and delivery of strategic projects aligned to priorities, timelines, cost targets, quality expectations and speed-to-market.
• Establish governance mechanisms, review cadences, escalation frameworks, and risk mitigation plans for project health and data-driven decisions.
• Drive cross-functional alignment across R&D, product, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, finance and commercial teams.
• Monitor portfolio performance via milestones, resource utilization, cost control, launch readiness and risk closure.
• Coach and mentor project managers on PMO standards, tools and processes.
• Lead continuous improvement and organizational transformation for agile, accountable execution.

Role & responsibilities

1. Strategic Project Leadership & Delivery Excellence
Lead end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of strategic projects in line with business priorities, AoP commitments, timelines, cost targets, quality expectations, and speed-to-market objectives.

2. Project Governance, Risk Management & Decision Support
Establish robust governance mechanisms, review cadences, escalation frameworks, and risk mitigation plans to ensure timely visibility of project health, data-driven decision-making, and proactive resolution of execution challenges.

3. Cross-Functional Alignment & Stakeholder Management
Drive seamless collaboration across R&D, product, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, finance, and commercial teams to align project objectives with market needs, technical feasibility, resource availability, and business outcomes.

4. Portfolio Performance & KPI Ownership
Monitor and improve project portfolio performance through key metrics such as milestone adherence, resource utilization, cost control, launch readiness, risk closure, and overall project execution effectiveness.

5. Team Capability Building & PMO Excellence
Coach and mentor project managers and cross-functional teams on project management standards, tools, processes, and best practices to strengthen execution discipline, accountability, and capability maturity within the organization.

6. Continuous Improvement & Organizational Transformation
Lead initiatives to improve project management processes, digital tracking, governance maturity, and ways of working while promoting a culture of agility, ownership, collaboration, innovation, and customer-centric execution.
