Job summary

Alstom in Bengaluru, India is seeking a senior Program Manager to lead complex multi-disciplinary programs that drive the company's digital transformation in rail supervision services. You will collaborate with Engineering, R&D, Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, and customer-facing teams to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with product strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (IT, CS, ECE, EEE, or equivalent).
  • 15–17+ years of experience in product, project, or program management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT/engineering program management.
  • Strong engineering background with full lifecycle deployment experience.
  • Hands-on leadership across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with European customers is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, and Excel.
  • PMP / PgMP / Agile certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report the complete execution of the project per Alstom processes.
  • Conduct financial and budgetary monitoring, track schedules and program indicators.
  • Align with product strategy and drive necessary actions.
  • Ensure high-quality execution following Alstom development processes.
  • Provide strong program management and technical leadership for QCD performance.
  • Establish KPIs, track performance, and update leadership and customers.

You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering complex, multi-disciplinary programs that shape the future of mobility. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, R&D, Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, and customer-facing teams), lead program reviews, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality solutions that align with Alstom’s digital transformation goals.

You’ll specifically take care of developing and managing a brand-new platform designed to host and run rail supervision services used in control centers (train tracking, regulation, traffic management, etc.), and also ensure alignment with the product strategy, maintain program governance, and provide technical leadership.

We’ll look to you for:
  • Monitoring and reporting the complete execution of the project, in accordance with Alstom’s processes.
  • Financial and budgetary monitoring, including tracking schedules and program indicators.
  • Ensuring alignment with the product strategy and implementing necessary actions to achieve it.
  • Guaranteeing high-quality execution by adhering to Alstom’s development processes.
  • Providing strong program management and technical leadership to ensure end-to-end Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance.
  • Establishing KPIs, tracking performance, and providing regular progress updates to leadership and customers.
  • Identifying program risks, implementing mitigation strategies, and resolving critical issues, including safety and cybersecurity challenges.
All About You
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (IT, CS, ECE, EEE, or equivalent).
  • 15–17+ years of experience in product, project, or program management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT/engineering program management.
