Job description

As a Production Test Engineer at our company located in Bangalore, you will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring the quality of electronic assemblies and PCB boards. Your role will involve executing test procedures, identifying issues at the board and component level, and supporting continuous improvement in the production process.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional and in‑circuit testing (ICT) of assembled electronic boards (PCBs).
• Troubleshoot and analyze defective boards to identify root causes (component‑level and circuit‑level).
• Prepare and maintain test procedures, checklists, and quality records.
• Work closely with the R&D and production teams to resolve technical issues and implement design‑for‑test (DFT) improvements.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) by developing and validating test setups and jigs.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with production and quality standards.
• Assist in calibration and maintenance of test equipment and instruments.
• Identify process bottlenecks and suggest improvements for better yield and efficiency.
• Train technicians and operators on test processes and quality inspection techniques.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics field.
• 25 years of experience in PCB assembly testing or electronics production environment.
• Strong understanding of analog, digital, and mixed‑signal circuits.
• Hands‑on experience with test instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
• Familiarity with ESD handling, soldering/rework practices, and PCB schematics reading.
• Experience in using automated test equipment (ATE) or functional test jigs is an added advantage.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
