Job summary

Worldline is seeking a Production Support Engineer with strong PostgreSQL and Oracle skills to monitor and maintain critical production databases. You will handle incidents, perform backups, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability and performance.

The role requires 4–5 years of BE/B-Tech in Computers, Linux/Unix familiarity, and exposure to cloud DB services like AWS RDS/Aurora or Azure PostgreSQL. Shell/Python scripting knowledge is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Qualified BE/B-Tech Computers with 4-5 years of experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
• Working knowledge of Oracle Database.
• Experience in production support, incident management, and database troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of database performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
• Exposure to AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, or Oracle Cloud; basic scripting (Shell/Python); understanding ITIL processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support and administration for PostgreSQL and Oracle databases.
• Monitor database performance, availability, and health.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents within SLA timelines.
• Perform routine maintenance, backup, recovery, and housekeeping.
• Support incident, problem, and change management processes, including RCA preparation.
• Collaborate with application, DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams to resolve technical issues.
• Identify and implement performance improvements and preventive measures.
