Samarth Engineering in Pune invites a Shift Supervisor for HMC/NMC machining to program, set up, and run jobs per approved parameters.

You will load programs, verify tooling, conduct first-piece inspections with Quality, monitor cycle times, and guide operators to maintain quality and safety.

This role focuses on reducing downtime, sustaining accuracy, and supporting process improvements for cast iron parts.

Qualificações

• Experience in machine shop operations with HMC/NMC machines.
• Knowledge of QA processes and first-piece inspection.

Responsabilidades

• Perform HMC/VMC machine programming and setup per production requirements.
• Handle manpower allocation and shift supervision.
• Set and align jobs, fixtures, tools, and workpieces per drawings.
• Load programs, set tool offsets, adjust machining parameters.
• Conduct first-piece inspection and obtain quality approval.
• Ensure operation per SOPs and process sheets.
• Monitor cycle time and machine performance.
• Identify and troubleshoot machine-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with Quality for in-process inspection and corrective actions.
• Guide operators on correct operation and loading/unloading.
• Maintain setup and inspection records.
• Support new-part development and process improvements.

Role & responsibilities

• Perform HMC/VMC machine Programming/setting and setup as per production requirements and approved process parameters.
• Handling Manpower & Allocation
• Shift Supervisor
• Set and align jobs, fixtures, tools, and workpieces according to engineering drawings and setup instructions.
• Load and verify programs, set tool offsets, and adjust machining parameters to ensure accurate production.
• Conduct first-piece inspection after machine setup and obtain approval from the Quality Department before starting batch production.
• Ensure machines operate as per the approved process sheet, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and product quality.
• Identify and troubleshoot machine-setting, tooling, fixture, and machining-related problems to minimize downtime.
• Monitor tool wear, tool life, and cutting conditions; replace or adjust tools when required.
• Coordinate with the Quality Department for in-process inspection, rejection analysis, and corrective actions.
• Guide machine operators on correct machine operation, job loading/unloading, and adherence to work instructions.
• Monitor cycle time and machine performance to achieve production targets without compromising quality or safety.
• Maintain setup records, tool-change records, first-piece inspection records, and other required production documentation.
• Ensure proper handling of measuring instruments, tools, fixtures, and machining components.
• Support new-part development, trial runs, process improvement activities, and cycle-time reduction initiatives as assigned.
