Job summary

Kopell Grounding Systems is seeking an energetic Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations in a mass-production environment. The role focuses on managing manpower, achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards and driving continuous improvement on the shop floor.

The ideal candidate will have a diploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering and be willing to work in shifts, with relevant experience in mass production and familiarity with inspection

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Mechanical Eng preferred.
• Experience with non-ferrous metals, electrical components or mass-production manufacturing is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of inspection instruments and quality testing methods preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving and manpower-handling skills.
• Energetic, disciplined and willing to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.
• Must be willing to work in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities to ensure production targets, quality standards and delivery schedules are met.
• Manage and guide shop-floor workers, allocate manpower effectively and maintain discipline and productivity.
• Monitor product quality, identify process deviations and implement corrective actions to minimize rejection and wastage.
• Review production processes and systems regularly to identify opportunities for improving productivity, quality and efficiency.
• Perform basic inspection and measurement using instruments such as vernier calipers and micrometers.
• Maintain production records, prepare reports and coordinate with quality, maintenance and other departments.
• Ensure adherence to safety practices, standard operating procedures and workplace housekeeping.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as required by management.
