Job summary

Agronic Food in Jodhpur is seeking a Production Supervisor to manage day-to-day production activities at our food manufacturing facility. You will ensure smooth operations, optimise manpower, and uphold quality and food safety standards to meet production targets.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on on the shop floor, lead production teams, monitor output, wastage and machine performance, and coordinate with Quality, Maintenance and Stores. A Diploma/B.Tech/B.Sc.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.Tech/B.Sc. in Food Technology/related field preferred.
• 25 years of experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Strong shop-floor and manpower handling skills.

Job Title: Production Supervisor

Reporting To: Plant Head / Operations Head

Location: Tanawara ,JODHPUR.

About the Role

We are looking for a Production Supervisor to manage day-to-day production activities at our food manufacturing facility in Jodhpur. The person will be responsible for ensuring smooth production operations, effective manpower utilisation, adherence to quality and food safety standards, and timely achievement of production targets.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a factory environment, managing shop-floor teams, and taking ownership of daily production activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day production activities and ensure production targets are achieved as per plan.
• Plan and allocate manpower across production lines and processes.
• Monitor production output, productivity, downtime and wastage.
• Ensure proper utilisation of raw materials, packaging materials, machinery and manpower.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores and other departments for smooth production operations.
• Ensure production is carried out as per approved processes, specifications and schedules.
• Maintain proper production records, reports and shift-wise documentation.
• Monitor and control material wastage and production losses.
• Ensure proper implementation of GMP, hygiene, food safety and workplace safety practices on the shop floor.
• Ensure workers follow the required SOPs, work instructions and safety practices.
• Identify production issues and coordinate with the concerned team for timely resolution.
• Monitor machine performance and immediately report breakdowns or maintenance requirements.
• Train and guide workers on production processes, hygiene, safety and discipline.
• Ensure cleanliness and housekeeping of the production area.
• Monitor attendance, discipline and performance of production workers.
• Conduct proper shift handovers and communicate pending production activities/issues to the next shift.
• Prepare daily production reports and share key updates with the reporting manager.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce wastage and minimise downtime.
• Perform any other production-related responsibilities assigned by the management.

Candidate Profile

• Diploma / B.Tech / B.Sc. in Food Technology, Food Science, Mechanical, Production or a related field will be preferred.
• 25 years of experience in a food manufacturing, FMCG, spices, grains, edible oils or similar production environment.
• Strong experience in shop-floor and manpower handling.
• Good understanding of production processes, hygiene and food safety practices.
• Ability to manage workers and maintain discipline on the production floor.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in shifts and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Should be comfortable with basic production documentation and reporting.
• Candidates with experience in organic food / spices / grains / kitchen staples / FMCG manufacturing will be preferred.
