Job summary

Roquette in Pantnagar, India seeks a Plant Production Supervisor to ensure production targets are met with existing resources while adhering to safety and SOPs. You will plan consumption of raw materials, chemicals, and packaging, supervise operators, and maintain equipment and records.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, Biochemical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure raw material, chemicals, and packaging material consumption planning for the month.
• Carry out the instructions issued by the production officers.
• Supervise day‑to‑day operations with production operators.
• Maintain equipment in good condition and arrange repairs when necessary.
• Ensure good housekeeping and general upkeep of the section.
• Maintain in‑process records in the designed log sheets and record books.
• Submit periodic samples to the laboratory for analysis.
• Record analytical findings and inform the officer for corrective action if required.
• Update process information and inform all exceptional matters to the production officers.
• Ensure work instructions are followed by every section operator.
• Ensure hygiene conditions and food‑safety norms in the process area.
• Maintain workflow by monitoring processing steps, setting variables, observing control points, and monitoring personnel and resources.
• Implement cost reductions, develop reporting procedures and systems, and facilitate corrections to breakdowns within process control points.
• Facilitate cooperation within and between departments.
