Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shift Production Supervisor / Leader with robust technical and people management expertise to oversee our high‑precision machining operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervision & Leadership:
  • Lead and manage a team of machinists and operators, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve team effectiveness.
• Production Management:
  • Oversee daily production activities, ensuring that machining processes are carried out efficiently and according to specifications.
  • Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions to address any deviations from targets or quality standards.
  • Coordinate with other shifts and departments to ensure seamless operations and communication.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Strong understanding of high‑precision machining processes, work & tool setting, and various inspection methodologies.
  • Maintain and optimise machine performance through regular maintenance and calibration.
  • Ensure adherence to technical documentation and machining blueprints.
• Quality Control:
  • Implement and uphold quality‑control procedures to ensure that all products meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of machining processes and outputs.
  • Address and resolve any quality concerns promptly and effectively.
• Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct safety training sessions and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Investigate and report on any safety incidents or near‑misses.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through team engagement and problem‑solving initiatives.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Education & Experience:
  • Diploma, NTTF, or GTTC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical certification.
  • Minimum of 6–8 years of experience in high‑precision machining, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• People Management Skills:
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of production personnel.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
