Job summary

Siemens in Mumbai, India, is seeking a Production Planning professional to plan and schedule operations for Air Insulated Medium Voltage Panels and related circuit breakers. You will coordinate with multiple departments to ensure timely delivery and optimize materials flow.

The role requires strong ERP/MRP experience, good communication, and knowledge of medium voltage products and manufacturing processes. This is an on-site position based in Mumbai.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Experience in Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Kanban, or similar systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of medium voltage products, manufacturing processes, inventory management, and logistics.

Responsibilities

• Plan production tasks and schedules according to customer orders.

• Estimate needs for raw materials and inform procurement in a timely manner.
• Oversee the production process and monitor progress to meet deadlines.

• Support inventory management to avoid shortages and excesses.

As a Production planning and control professional, you will perform the planning and scheduling activities of Air Insulated Medium Voltage Panels, Indoor and Outdoor circuit breakers to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of products.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Plan production tasks and schedules according to customer orders.
• Develop and review production plan with Managers for approval.
• Estimate needs for raw materials and give timely inputs to procurement teams.
• Oversee the production process, monitoring progress against schedules to ensure timely completion.
• Analyze delays and interruptions and accordingly adjust production schedule to meet deadlines.
• Liaise with various departments, including logistics, procurement, production, and quality control, to ensure a seamless workflow.
• Track production quantities, analyze data, and report KPIs
• Support inventory management processes to avoid shortages and excesses.
