Job summary

Manpowergroup Services India is seeking a seasoned Production Planner to convert customer orders into concrete daily, weekly, and monthly production plans. You will monitor schedules, manage MRP, and coordinate across Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, and Dispatch teams.

You will ensure material availability, track WIP, and optimize capacity while maintaining accurate SAP data and planning reports.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of Production Planning & Control concepts.
• Knowledge of MRP, BOM, capacity planning, inventory control, and scheduling.
• Strong MS Excel skills, Power BI.
• Knowledge of SAP MM, PP, SD Module.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage changing production priorities.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and shop-floor operations.
• Candidate from 2-wheeler company or tier one company is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and business requirements.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure adherence to planned quantities and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, and Dispatch teams.
• Check material availability and identify shortages that may affect production.
• Prepare and monitor Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and production requirements.
• Track work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods inventory.
• Identify production bottlenecks, delays, and capacity constraints and take corrective action.
• Maintain production planning reports, MIS, and relevant documentation.
• Monitor actual production against planned production and analyze variances.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
• Support capacity planning, manpower planning, and machine utilization.
• Follow up on customer priorities and ensure production plans are aligned with delivery commitments.
• Maintain SAP system data related to production orders, BOMs, inventory, and schedules. Monitor correct consumption in SAP.
• Prepare reports on production efficiency, plan vs. actual, rejection, downtime, inventory, and delivery performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce lead time and inventory.
• Perpetual Inventory counting.
• Dispatch coordination.
• Import Shipment Tracking and distribution.
