Job summary

Bombay Shaving Company is seeking an experienced Production Planning Manager with EMS background to oversee end-to-end production planning, material planning, capacity planning, and on-time delivery for SMT, MI, Assembly, and Box Build lines.

The role focuses on optimizing resources, inventory, and customer delivery commitments while coordinating with cross-functional teams to drive Lean initiatives and ensure adherence to IPC/ESD standards.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in ECE/EEE/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering; MBA in Operations preferred.
• Mandatory EMS experience in PCB assembly, SMT high-mix/low-volume.
• Strong knowledge of SMT machines (Fuji, Yamaha, Panasonic) and component packaging.
• Expertise in SAP PP/MM and ERP planning.
• Deep understanding of MRP, MPS, BOM, ECN, MOQ, LT, Safety Stock.
• Knowledge of IPC standards, ESD controls, and EMS quality requirements.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and customer handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Own Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on forecasts and capacity.
• Create daily/weekly/monthly plans for SMT lines, Wave Soldering, Manual Insertion, Testing & Box Build.
• Manage line loading, capacity planning and load leveling for high on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with NPI for new product introduction and pilot runs.
• Lead MRP run, material availability check, and shortage analysis.
• Work with Purchase, Stores, and Vendors to avoid material downtime.
• Monitor inventory: Raw Material, WIP, FG; drive inventory turns.
• Lead daily production review meetings and cross-functional coordination.
• Manage planning in ERP - SAP / Oracle / Kinaxis / other.
• Drive lean manufacturing, reduce lead times and improve planning accuracy.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Production Planning Manager from EMS background to manage end-to-end production planning, material planning, capacity planning and on-time delivery for SMT, MI, Assembly and Box Build lines. The role is responsible for optimizing resources, inventory, and customer delivery commitments.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Control

• Own Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on customer forecasts, POs and capacity.
• Create daily/weekly/monthly production plans for SMT lines, Wave Soldering, Manual Insertion, Testing & Box Build.
• Manage line loading, capacity planning and load leveling to achieve >95% OTD.
• Coordinate with NPI team for new product introduction and pilot runs.

Material Planning & Inventory Control

• Lead MRP run, material availability check, and shortage analysis.
• Work closely with Purchase, Stores, and Vendors to ensure zero material downtime.
• Monitor inventory levels - Raw Material, WIP, FG. Drive inventory turns and reduce E&O.
• Handle allocation, alternates, and engineering change (ECN) implementation without line stoppage.

Customer & Cross-functional Coordination

• Single point of contact for customer delivery planning and commitment.
• Daily coordination with Production, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Purchase, and Warehouse.
• Lead daily production review meeting (DPM) and S&O meetings.

Systems & Continuous Improvement

• Manage planning in ERP - SAP / Oracle / KINAXIS / other.
• Track and improve KPIs: OTD, Plan vs Actual Adherence, Line Utilization, Inventory Accuracy, WIP Control.
• Drive lean manufacturing, reduce lead time, and improve planning accuracy.
• Manage team of Planners, PPC Engineers and Coordinators.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• B.E / http://B.Tech in ECE / EEE / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering. MBA in Operations preferred.
• Mandatory EMS Experience: Must have worked in EMS company handling PCB Assembly, SMT (High-mix Low-Volume / Low-mix High-Volume).
• Strong knowledge of SMT machines (Fuji, Yamaha, Panasonic), component packaging, SMT load calculation.
• Expertise in SAP PP/MM module, Advanced Excel, and ERP planning.
