Job summary

AP Management Consultants in Puducherry is seeking a Production Planner to develop and maintain production plans based on customer requirements, demand forecasts, and capacity. You will coordinate with Production, Procurement, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, and Sales to ensure smooth production flow.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly schedules, monitor adherence to the plan, and ensure availability of materials, manpower, and machines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans based on customer requirements, demand forecasts, and capacity.
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, and Sales to ensure smooth production flow.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules and monitor adherence to the plan.
• Ensure availability of materials, manpower, machines, and other resources as per requirements.
• Monitor production progress and take corrective actions to minimize delays and bottlenecks.
• Analyze capacity, machine utilization, and manpower for effective resource planning.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Stores and Procurement to prevent shortages and excess.
• Prioritize production activities based on customer requirements and delivery schedules.
• Track order status and ensure timely completion against committed dates.
• Prepare MIS reports related to production planning, inventory, capacity, and delivery performance.
• Identify planning constraints and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve operational issues.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning processes to improve productivity, delivery performance, and overall operational efficiency.
