Job summary

Speedways Rubber Company in India seeks a Production Planning & Control professional to develop and implement production plans for tire manufacturing, optimizing resources and meeting targets.

You will collaborate with production, procurement, logistics and QA, analyze data to identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvements across SOPs and inventory management.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in production planning and control in tire manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering; Master’s in Operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement production plans and schedules to optimize resource utilization and meet production targets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, logistics, and quality assurance to ensure alignment of production activities.
• Utilize advanced production planning tools and techniques to analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
• Monitor and track production performance metrics, including yield, cycle times, downtime, and throughput, to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and implement SOPs for production planning and control processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Drive inventory optimization for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to minimize holding costs while ensuring product availability.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, logistics, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of production activities.
• Utilize advanced production planning tools and techniques to analyse production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Monitor and track production performance metrics, including yield, cycle times, downtime, and throughput, to identify opportunities for improvement and drive continuous process optimization.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production planning and control processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Drive initiatives for inventory optimization, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, to minimize inventory holding costs while ensuring product availability.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in production planning and control roles in the tire manufacturing industry only. No other industry experience will be considered.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Master's degree preferred.
