Job summary

Sartorius is seeking a Production Planner Expert based in Bangalore, India, to ensure efficient planning and execution of production activities. You will coordinate material availability, manage schedules, and monitor operations across a diverse product portfolio to support timely market delivery.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain SAP master data, and contribute to S&OP and Demand Planning processes while upholding a customer-focused mindset and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher degree in business or related field.
• 10+ years in a technical production environment.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Bills of Materials and production structures with Engineering and Design teams.
• Create and manage production schedules aligned to forecasts and commitments.
• Coordinate material availability and manufacturing capabilities to meet lead times.
• Identify and address material shortages and supply constraints.
• Monitor key performance indicators and publish production reports.

Introduction

Join our Operations team as a Production Planner Expert and play a key role in ensuring the efficient planning and execution of production activities. Through effective production and capacity planning, material coordination, and operational performance monitoring, you will help enable reliable product availability and support the successful introduction of new products into operations. Based in Bangalore, India, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure products reach the marketplace on time while supporting our mission of delivering better health for more people.

Grow with us – Your Responsibilities

• Maintain Bills of Materials and production structures in collaboration with Engineering and Design teams
• Create and manage production schedules that support agreed forecasts and customer delivery commitments
• Ensure production lead times remain realistic by aligning plans with material availability and manufacturing capabilities
• Identify, upscale, and expedite material shortages while proactively addressing potential supply constraints
• Control the sequence and priority of materials and services supplied to production cells across a diverse product portfolio
• Partner with Sourcing to resolve existing and anticipated material supply issues, including storage capacity planning, while ensuring procurement delays do not affect manufacturing timelines
• Support business functions through problem solving, stakeholder collaboration, and proactive communication with internal customers
• Facilitate the introduction of new products from project BETA phase through full integration into operations
• Create, analyze, and publish monthly team metrics, weekly capacity reports, and daily production order release and material issue reports
• Attend daily review meetings to understand operational concerns and line stoppage issues and support resolution activities
• Monitor and report key operational performance indicators, including Delivery Reliability, Inventory, and Planned versus Actual performance
• Support S&OP and Demand Planning activities to ensure alignment between demand and operational capacity
• Maintain accurate master data within SAP to support planning and operational excellence
