Job summary

Pakkar Leather Exports in Tirupattur, Tamil Nadu, is seeking a Production Planner to design daily to monthly production plans based on customer orders and delivery schedules. The role coordinates with Merchandising, Purchase, Stores, Cutting, Stitching, Lasting, Assembly, Packing, and Quality to ensure smooth production flow and on-time shipments.

The candidate will monitor progress, manage raw materials and manpower, track targets, and drive improvements to minimize delays and waste.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with the Merchandising, Purchase, Stores, Cutting, Stitching, Lasting, Assembly, Packing, and Quality departments to ensure smooth production flow.
• Monitor production progress against the plan and take corrective actions to avoid delays.
• Ensure the availability of raw materials, components, and accessories before production starts.
• Plan manpower allocation according to production requirements.
• Track line-wise production targets and actual output.
• Analyze production bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
• Update and maintain production planning reports and dashboards.
• Coordinate with the Purchase and Stores departments regarding material shortages.
• Ensure production schedules meet customer delivery commitments.
• Prepare daily production status reports for management.
• Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP) inventory and minimize excess stock.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce production costs.
• Coordinate with the Quality department to minimize rework and production losses.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and manufacturing standards.
