Job summary

Asian Energy Services is seeking an experienced Field Operator to oversee and optimize oil production across well pads, separators, and pipelines. You will monitor PLC/SCADA systems, track production parameters, and report abnormalities to ensure safe, efficient operations in on-site locations.

The role requires 2–6 years in oil & gas production, with a Diploma/ITI in a related engineering field. You will work in rotational shifts at remote oil field sites, coordinating with maintenance and HSE

Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI in Mechanical, Production, Electrical, Instrumentation, Petroleum, or a related engineering discipline.
• 2-6 years of experience in oil & gas production operations, preferably in onshore facilities, EPS/CPF, or well operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor oil production facilities, well pads, separators, tanks, pumps, pipelines, and associated equipment.
• Perform routine field operations, including starting and stopping production equipment.
• Monitor and operate PLC/SCADA systems for production process control and equipment monitoring.
• Monitor production parameters such as pressure, temperature, flow rate, and tank levels, and report abnormalities.
• Perform chemical dosing activities and monitor chemical injection systems.
• Monitor oil, gas, and water pipelines to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Assist in the operation and monitoring of gas compressors and gas engine generators (GEGs).
• Carry out tanker loading and unloading activities in accordance with approved safety procedures.
• Conduct routine inspection rounds of wells, well pads, process facilities, pipelines, compressor stations, and utility systems.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of operational issues under the guidance of the Shift-In-Charge.
• Maintain production log sheets, shift reports, operational records, and tanker movement records accurately.
• Ensure safe handling of hydrocarbons and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Support preventive and breakdown maintenance activities for production equipment.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Instrumentation, and HSE teams during maintenance and shutdown activities.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, permit-to-work systems, and statutory regulations.
• Participate in emergency response drills and follow emergency procedures during incidents.
• Maintain housekeeping standards across production and operating areas.
• Report unsafe conditions, near misses, equipment failures, and operational abnormalities promptly.
• Work effectively in rotational shifts and remote oil field locations while ensuring uninterrupted production operations.
