Job summary

Reliance Industries (RIL) in India seeks an Engineer Operations to support Gas Gathering Stations (GGS) and well sites. You will monitor compressor and GDU parameters, coordinate shutdowns, and ensure safe, reliable operation.

The role requires 3+ years in oil & gas wells operations, knowledge of safety codes, and the ability to plan with maintenance and pigging teams to maintain continuous gas availability.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in chemical, petroleum or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant oil & gas wells operations experience.
• Experience in plant shutdown/startup activities, preferably GDU and reciprocating compressor.
• Knowledge of oil & gas operation codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor reciprocating compressor and GDU parameters and flag deviations.
• Ensure timely reporting of all incidents and perform analysis.
• Perform periodic glycol make up and oil top up.
• Manage GGS start-up and shutdown activities.
• Understand and operate control systems in GGS.
• Apply process safety tools such as HAZOP/HAZID/RCA.
• Plan jobs with maintenance team and HOTO.
• Understand gas power generation and distribution systems.
• Issue permits and follow up.
• Coordinate with pigging and wellhead teams during pigging.
• Plan jobs with maintenance and pigging teams.
• Ensure trouble-free GGS operation.

Job description

Main Purpose

Engineer Operation will be part of O&M team to provide support for smooth operations of Gas Gathering Stations (GGS) & associated well sites, including slug catcher, compressor, GDU & CTM units.

Job Accountabilities

• Monitoring reciprocating compressor, GDU parameters on periodic basis & highlight deviation if any observed
• Ensuring timely report of all incidents & analysis of it
• Periodic glycol make up / oil top up etc.
• GGS start-up & shutdown activities
• Understanding & operation of control system available in GGS
• Working knowledge of process safety management tool i.e. HAZOP, HAZID, RCA etc.
• Plan the jobs with maintenance team & HOTO with maintenance team
• Working knowledge of gas power generation & distribution system
• Issues permit & follow up
• Coordination with pigging & wellhead team during pigging & upset if any
• Plan job with maintenance & pigging team
• Trouble free GGS operation

Skills Required

• Involved in plant shutdown & start up activities preferably GDU & reciprocating compressor
• Working knowledge of oil & gas operation codes & standard

Qualification:

• BE/B Tech Bachelor degree in chemical / petroleum / Mechanical engineering

Experience:
