This role offers an opportunity to support critical real-time operations within a fast-paced oil and gas environment. You will monitor operational data, identify trends and anomalies, and take timely action to help manage technical and operational risks. The position combines real-time analysis, data quality, field coordination, project support, and problem-solving. You will work closely with field operators, customers, and cross-functional teams while maintaining high standards of accuracy and responsiveness. Success requires the ability to make sound decisions under pressure and elevate issues quickly when necessary. This is a strong opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to build expertise in drilling operations, real-time monitoring, and energy technology.

Accountabilities
  • Monitor and interpret real-time operational data, identifying trends, anomalies, and errors across different sources and levels of severity.
  • Perform data corrections based on identified issues and maintain high standards of data accuracy and quality.
  • Analyze real-time situations rapidly to identify potential risks and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Communicate with field operators and customers through phone, email, and other professional channels to clarify issues and coordinate responses.
  • Support project setup, project management, quality-control activities, and end-of-project reporting.
  • Follow documented operational processes precisely and elevate issues immediately when established procedures or risk controls require intervention.
  • Identify inefficient or ineffective processes, recommend practical improvements, and communicate recommendations to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Use web-based applications for data presentation, graphing, analysis, data entry, and exception-based processing.
  • Prioritize multiple concurrent issues and determine which risks or operational problems require immediate attention.
  • Collaborate across teams to resolve technical issues and ensure effective coordination between real-time operations and field activities.
  • Maintain 24/7 operational coverage through a rotating schedule consisting of 12-hour shifts, typically working 7 days on followed by 7 days off.
  • Contribute to a culture centered on customer service, innovation, teamwork, accountability, and ethical decision-making.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • A degree in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is preferred, particularly for candidates interested in developing a long-term career in the oil and gas industry.
  • 0–3 years of experience in the oil and gas industry or a closely related technical environment.
  • Basic knowledge of oil and gas rig operations, directional drilling, MWD survey procedures, bottom-hole assemblies (BHA), and related components.
  • Experience working in or strong familiarity with a real-time, 24/7 operational environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues quickly and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to recognize situations requiring immediate escalation and communicate emerging risks clearly to senior personnel.
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, and technical communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and remain focused in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with field teams, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Independent, self-motivated, ethical, and adaptable, with a willingness to learn new technologies and operational processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based data applications.
  • Flexible, team-oriented approach and willingness to work a rotating 12-hour schedule supporting continuous operations.
Benefits
  • Full-time opportunity supporting real-time operations within the oil and gas industry.
  • Exposure to drilling technology, real-time data analysis, operational monitoring, and field processes.
  • Opportunity to develop specialized technical expertise and build a long-term career in the energy sector.
  • Hands-on experience working with field operators, customers, and multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Opportunities to contribute to process improvements, quality initiatives, and project execution.
  • Fast-paced environment that encourages innovation, teamwork, continuous learning, and professional development.
