Job summary

Kukdo Chemical India seeks a Plant Operator (DCS) to monitor and control plant processes via the DCS system, with regular field checks. This role is based in Gujarat and requires hands-on operation across the production line.

Ideal candidates hold AOCP or Diploma in Chemical Engineering, or MSc/BSc, with 1–5 years of post-qualification experience and strong DCS/PLC exposure. Fire & Safety awareness is a plus.

Qualifications

• AOCP/Diploma in chemical engineering or MSc/BSc with good academics.
• 1–5 years post-qualification experience, preferably in Gujarat chemical plants.
• Strong DCS/PLC system knowledge with relevant exposure.
• Exposure to Fire & Safety is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and execute plant process through DCS with regular field checks.
• Contribute to production activities including plant process and equipment operation.
• Study production processes to control parameters for safe, high-quality output.
• Frequent monitoring of reactors, agitator, vacuum pumps and pumps.
• Coordinate with QC to sample and test materials and report deviations.
• Ensure uninterrupted utilities (process water, nitrogen, air, steam, cooling water).
• Fill Shift Log-sheet and brief reliever shift operator.
• Address and manage issues related to production and operation.
• Ensure safe, trouble-free shift operation and maximize output within targets.
• Adhere to personal safety and PPE requirements.
• Maintain housekeeping around production and plant area.
• Communicate shift-wise activities to the preceding section in-charge.
• Prepare and submit shift reports to the preceding section in-charge.

Plant Operator (DCS) - Production

Candidate Profile

• The incumbent should have full time AOCP/Diploma chemical engg/MSc/BSc with good academic background.
• He should have 1-5 years post qualification working experience out of which minimum one year experience to handle all aspect of entire shift operation of Production Department preferably in Gujarat based Chemical/Speciality Chemical/Epoxy Resins plant.
• He should have good hold on DCS/PLC system with relevant proving experience
• Exposure related to Fire & Safety will have added advantage.

Job Profile

• He will monitor and execute plant process through DCS system with regular and frequent field monitoring
• He will be contributing in production activities, such as plant process, operation, equipment operations etc
• He will study & understand Production Process thoroughly & jobs involved, when & how to control the parameters in equipment at desired level for operating plant safely without any trouble & to get best quality product.
• He will have frequent monitoring of reactors, agitator, vacuum pumps and pumps.
• He will coordinate with QC to take sample & Lab test of all incoming raw materials, Finished Products & Material in Process as per the given guideline & report to Production/Operation Manager if testing report is not up to the desired level.
• He will have frequent observation of undisturbed supply of utilities (process water, nitrogen, air, steam and cooling water)
• He will fill-up Shift Log-sheet & record all fact & status of the plant, briefing to his reliver shift operator.
• He will be responsible to address, handle & manage all issues pertaining to Qualitative & quantitative Production & operation of the shift.
• He will be responsible for safe & trouble-free operation of the shift & produce best quality of products with minimum wastage/losses & maximum possible quantity as per the target given by Operation Manager.
• He shall be responsible and should adhere to personal safety, besides all safety PPEs provided by plant leader.
• He shall be responsible to maintain regular housekeeping in and around production and plant area.
• Ensuring all shift-wise activities are conveyed to preceding section in-charge.
• Preparing and submitting shift reports to preceding section in-charge.
