Job summary

AP Management Consultants in Puducherry seeks an Engineer - Production to support the production team by ensuring efficient manufacturing processes and coordinating production activities. You will assist in planning, execution, and monitoring to drive productivity and quality.

The role involves reviewing SOPs, comparing production plans with actuals, controlling WIP and scrap, supervising safety, and implementing corrective actions on customer complaints.

Qualifications

• Review SOPs and production plans to align with operations.
• Proactively review production plan vs actual to manage WIP and scrap.
• Identify and control special processes as needed.
• Non-conformity review and disposition, re-inspection of reworked products.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of production activities.
• Monitor safety equipment and ensure operators work safely.
• Implement corrective actions on customer complaints relating to manufacturing quality.
• Use statistics where applicable to identify improvement opportunities.
• Identify training needs of non-supervisory personnel.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects identified by Production Head.

Preferred candidate profile

Review of SOP, Production Plan Vs Actual Control WIP, Scrap

Increase OLE, Control of Processes, Control of Special Processes

Non-conformity review and disposition, Re-inspection of Reworked products, Ensure safe working of operators. Monitor the working of safety equipment.

Responsible for implementing corrective actions on Customer complaints relating to manufacturing quality, Use of statistical techniques wherever applicable, Identify training needs of non-supervisory personnel (operators and staff), Work in Continuous Improvement projects identified by Production Head. Any other responsibilities assigned by the Production Head.
