Job summary

Sign Media & Fixtures India in Maharashtra seeks a Production Engineer for joinery fabrication. You will read and interpret design and joinery drawings, develop detailed joinery drawings, and guide production across Metalwork, Carpentry, Electrical/Signage and Painting teams.

You should be proficient in AutoCAD and ArtCAM, with hands-on experience in CNC cutting, laser cutting, saw panels and welding operations.

• Read and interpret joinery drawings and design intent with accuracy.
• Develop detailed joinery drawings based on design intent and feasibility.
• Strong coordination across Metalwork, Carpentry, Electrical/Signage and Painting departments.
• Knowledge of materials and specs used in fixture production.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret design and joinery drawings accurately to guide production
• Able to develop detailed joinery drawings based on design intent, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and execution feasibility.
• Oversee and coordinate across Metalwork, Carpentry, Electrical/Signage and Painting departments
• Ensure strong working knowledge of materials and specifications used in fixture production
• Operate/oversee use of Saw machines, Pressing machines, CNC machines, Metal laser cutting machines, and Argon gas welding equipment
• Manage material requisition and documentation MRN (Material Receipt Note) and BOQ (Bill of Quantities)
• Align and synchronize workflows across all production departments to meet delivery timelines
• Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders using strong communication and coordination skills
• Leverage market knowledge and vendor/supplier connections to support procurement and production efficiency

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and ArtCAM (or equivalent CNC cutting/programming software)
• Working knowledge of CNC, metal laser cutting, saw panel, channel bending, V-groove/normal bending, punching, and welding machine operations and setup
